I’m not really sure how I feel about the date I just went on. It started really well, but then things got a little weird, and then the guy left to go on a big quest. I’m not sure if I’ll ever see him again. Honestly, I’m not sure that I want to.
It all started with him picking me up in his nice, fancy car. On the way to our date spot, he stopped at a flower shop and checked out some of these beautiful hybrid tea roses for sale. I had told him how much I love roses, so I was incredibly happy when he bought one of those flowers for me. I held it carefully as we drove up to this incredible location in the hills. It was a windy day, but that didn’t bother me, as I like a bit of wind. I found it relaxing. When we got out of the car, I tried to keep my flower nice and protected, but I wouldn’t let it go. There was no way I’d leave it in the car without protection. Unfortunately, though, that’s where everything went wrong. I tripped on an exposed root and the flower escaped my grasp. It took to the wind, its petals scattering everywhere and floating across the valley.
Now, I love all kinds of roses. Thornless roses, David Austin roses, climbing roses; you name it. But when my date swore that he would travel across the valley in search of the scattered rose petals, I thought that was a bit extreme. I can always just buy some new roses online. There’s no need to go on this big quest and put himself in danger. Oh well, if he comes back with the rose petals, I’ll be grateful, but I really wish he’d just listened to me and given me a lift home at least! Now I have to walk all the way back because I don’t know how to drive. Thanks a lot, Yasha!
