We’re Moving To Kew

I have an awesome update for you guys! It’s been three months since I made my first blog post about moving out with my friends in the near future and we have a house. We move in at the start of January. We figured it would be easier to move after Silly Season, also known as that period between Christmas and New Year where you have no idea what day it is because you’ve just been partying the entire time. That’s the best part of the year.

So once we’ve gotten through Silly Season and allowed our bodies to recover from a very tough two weeks, we’ll be moving into our new home in the southeast suburbs. We had some ideas on where we wanted to live, and the buyer’s agent in the Kew area took those on board. Because she knows Kew so well, she actually recommended that we look there. She said that we would still be able to find a place for our price, and in an area that is a lot closer to the city and safer to live in than the places we were looking at. We all agreed that she was the expert and that we would trust her recommendations. Trusting her was the best decision we could have made.

She’s helped us from the very start and will continue to help us until we finish and move in. She’s even offered to help us move in on move-in day. I didn’t think buyer’s advocates even did that. I wonder if we’d get the same level of service if we went to a larger buyer’s advocate in the Melbourne CBD. I would be surprised if we did. That’s the benefit of working with smaller businesses. The people you work with really care about the outcome and want what’s best for you. It means a lot to me that she’d go above and beyond for us like that.
