Remy’s Bathroom Plan

Ever since Remy’s bathroom was destroyed, every inch of his brain had been dedicated to planning for the renovation. He’d already settled on sinks and bathtubs gold enough to rival the king’s, but there were a few other important decisions he had to make before he could call in the contractors. One of these decisions involved the glass he would feature in his bathroom; in particular, where it would be located.

Remy’s previous bathroom only had glass encasing his shower. It had been weak panelling – scrap glass he’d nicked from a human’s Tupperware drawer next door – so when his bathroom flooded, the glass had shattered. Now, Remy really wanted to employ one of the best glass balustrade suppliers Melbourne had to offer. He certainly had the funds to do so, and he didn’t care how much it cost, as long as every rat who stepped foot in his bathroom was awestruck. He wanted the glass to become a bigger feature of the space this time around by creating a separate balcony area. The balcony would hold an outdoor bathtub, and there would be a glass balustrade around it all to overlook the city. He could imagine it now: magical.

Another factor Remy had to consider was whether he would need to hire a group of commercial glazing contractors to make sure nobody could see into his bathroom from the street. Of course, if they did, it wouldn’t matter too much – after all, Remy was a rat – but even he valued his privacy. While the contractors were servicing his apartment, he could also get them to take a look at his mirror plans. Like everything else in his bathroom, Remy had a number of grand ideas for his mirror. He would revel in having mirrors on every surface that isn’t already gold, so the whole space becomes a reflective maze of bouncing light. Remy couldn’t wait. He’d probably be nominated for the interior design awards later this year!
