House Flip Inspections

Today is the day I officially start renovating my newly-purchased home. I’m a house flipper by trade, so I do have pretty extensive experience when it comes to improving houses. But this particular job is important to me because I’d like to live in this house forever. I’d like to raise my family here. It has to be perfect.

I’ve created a plan and segmented it into weeks and days to ensure my renovations stay on track – and on budget. To begin with, I’ll have to knock down a few walls and rip up some flooring, but those are simple tasks I can do myself. The real first task is hiring a plumber to conduct drain camera inspections. Melbourne houses – particularly older ones – usually always have plumbing issues, so I’m anticipating a large cost. It’s worth it, though. I’ve seen these plumbers in action many times before and their work is nothing short of magical! Using a special camera, they’ll investigate the condition of the drainage systems around my house. The camera records footage and images of the insides of the pipes, which means we can find problems with the plumbing before they become too great to fix. Spending more on plumbing upfront has always saved me thousands of dollars later down the line, so every time I renovate, I know not to skimp on plumbing services.

Due to all the houses I’ve flipped, I’m pretty familiar with the drain cleaning services near me. Melbourne is filled with tradesmen, as it’s a city with a booming population and thousands of new infrastructure projects every month. I do have a couple of favourites, though. Dave is one of those favourites. I’ve got him booked in for today just after midday. I’ve already made a bit of a mess with the flooring, so I’ll have to clear a space for Dave to safely walkthrough. Oh well. Back to work!
